First, I want to say how excited I was to the lead up of this game. I owned both TGC 2 and TGC 2019, so I was familiar with the controls and course creator and societies and all that.
PGA 2k21 really shines in the customizing nature of the difficulty settings. You can set your gameplay to 6! Different settings, and you can customize dozens of aspects in the difficulty settings. It’s great to have more courses and play against actual PGA Tour players. (Hopefully in the next game you get to play as a real player)
I love competing in societies. It’s fun to try to rank up with the best. The grind for new clubs and clothing is an update to this iteration of game. In past games, the clubs did not have attributes, so that’s a fun quirk. Swing calibration is a helpful tool to tell the game how you usually swing so it’s locked in and then you use that preset for your MyPlayer. The career mode is solid as ever, allowing you to start in Q-school, then go to the Korn Ferry, where you have to win 3 tournaments or rank in the top 25 after 5 tournaments. It’s not a gimme for your PGA tour card, which I like. Get this game today for challenging fun that has great replay ability as there are thousands of user-created courses!
