this is a wonderful story, a mix of myth and reality, through the 'eyes' of a young girl. it helps give us, in the so-called west, an intimate view into the human struggle, by way of a singular family's struggle to make their way in the world against a background of larger forces both mundane and spiritual ... the cinematography itself is worth the viewing ...
