Given the resources and talent involved in the production, it is disappointing to see them used to amplify antiquated mentality. While it may succeed in capturing the aesthetics of the old world, it falls short in its responsibility to provide meaningful and progressive content. The series serves as a reminder that storytelling has the potential to either uphold harmful stereotypes or challenge and transform them. Hoping Netflix endorses future projects that choose the latter, using their platforms to celebrate and advocate for women in ways that are relevant to today's needs
