Anthony Maddalena

Hilarious drama about France's former first lady, brilliantly portrayed by Catherine Deneuve. I liked the way the film didn't get lost in polemical dissections of the complex political issues but instead focused on the First Lady's journey to assert herself in the face of her husband's indifference. Highly recommended.

I loved this series. Joanna Lumley's humour, charm, and empathy really shone through. There are some particularly touching moments in Ethiopia where Lumley's intimate connection with the locals was so moving that it almost had me in tears.

Wonderful atmospheric chiller. They just don't make them like this anymore.
