A new low in British TV - and an excellent case for the abolition of the TV licence. Saturday night television used to be about fresh, exciting and unusual programmes, but The Wall is a poor relative to the abysmal The Chase - and it has the sickly ubiquitous Mr Dyer - who is simply - dire.

It can't be compared to the Twilight Zone - that series had much better writers - sci-fi legends as well as Serling, who worked on the original Planet of the Apes. Black Mirror to me comes across as fan fiction almost, and it seems to have an OCD for the same old issues regarding technology and its effects on us all - and that seems to date it. Bit like older people saying "this new fangled gadget will be the death of us" type of thing. So, it's no contemporary Twilight Zone or Outer Limits - or even a neo Tales of the Unexpected, and it will date badly as developments in technology go into warp factor in the near future. I can rewatch old episodes of the Twilight Zone and they are still fresh, but will people be saying the same about Black Mirror in 2029?

Dreadful inferior remake of the Ghosts of Motley Hall, only less realistic and per usual with the BBC, OTT PC. We've seen it all before, only better in the days of Rentaghost.

Feel as if the BBC is bending over backwards to stress how bad the British Empire was to the rest of the world via its Doctor Who episodes. Doctor Who used to be about great storylines but now its preachy and too PC. I feel it will be cancelled again if it gets too bogged down with coming across as politically correct; ratings will plummet.
