Brilliant commentary on the trappings of religion and the truly insane, mind-warping ideas that spring from it, and how it can seem so logical. The series is beautifully filmed with pieces that really tug at the heartstrings, evoking powerful emotions that draw one into the horrific reality of the characters and the bizarre situation and ambience around them. The horror is spine-chillingly real, the people's dilemmas are well-thought out, and the soundtrack of hymns creates an eerie juxtaposition. 5/5 stars, easy.

Absolute gem of a movie. Heartbreaking, yet heartwarming at the same time. The visuals are wonderful, as are the characters and the actors who portray them.
