The plot in contrived and ridiculous but elements of the direction and acting made me think they wanted to have people buy in to the dramatics of it. If that was their intention at all it flopped. If it was to just make a ridiculous over the top genre parody it failed even more as the jokes are cringey at best. Additionally you still need SOME believability, something that grounds the story in reality for something to be succsesfully funny. This show practically abandons all logic and then gaslights you by saying "it's supposed to be like this, its a comedy..." Don't waste your time. Watch Gone Girl, the Naked Gun series, or just anything else.
