Dont call a character independent and then have him make liberal choices everytime. He claims he can be a non partisan bridge but literally gets the Republicans to do what he wants which is democrat policy everytime. Then make the bad guys "alt right". This looked really interesting for the first half of the season then started getting terrible. Maggie Q's character is god awful because she is a terrible agent and doesn't follow the rules but when her boss does it for a good reason he gets fired and called a disgrace. But female empowerment comes before decent plotlines I guess. Then the one time a female actually has a good character and is doing everything to be good at her job the writers dangled VP for her but settled with secretary of education.
