I hate to say I took about a 45 minute nap somewhere in the middle & I never really did quite grasp what was going on. Too long, way too complicated & too full of itself

If you are a fan of the music, which I am, & quit trying to apply movie aesthetics to a stage play & just enjoy it for what it is, it is a purrrfectly lovely way to spend an hour & fifty minutes. And Idris Elba spray painted with fur is just a bonus.
