I have been waiting for this film since I heard about it. A movie directed by Tarantino with cast of Leonardo Dicaprio, Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie and Al-Pacino (a small role). It cannot get better than this. I was eager to watch it and I was one of the first ones to watch it in cinema.
The mistake I made was that I brought my friends with me who were looking for 3 hours of riotous jollity. If you are expecting a structure plot and things having a point, then this movie isn’t for you. But if you are looking for 3 hours of relaxation you will really appreciate a good directed and well-acted film.
This movie gives you a gist of what a life was in Hollywood in 1960s. And this has been displayed very accurately. There was a lot of patience shown by Trantino in making this film as each scene in the movie is very detailed and shows no sign of rush. He has actually used a brilliant strategy of casting the best actors and letting them do what they do the best, mixed with his own fully established directing skills.
In this movie Trantino takes inspiration from the real story of actress Sharon Tate but twists the real story to tell ‘what could have been’, thus sharing his fantasy, of the whole situation, with the world. Rick Dalton (Leonardo Dicaprio) and Cliff Booth’s (Brad Pitt) friendship is a big highlight of the movie. The acting is fantastic, especially the scene where Rick Dalton forgets his lines.
Definitely a type of movie to watch over and over again. My Rating 4/5.
