The movie successfully accomplished what it set out to do. Leave the audience disturbed and wondering what to make out of the descent of a disturbed person into full blown madness. Phoenix’s performance is phenomenal and riveting from the first scene to the last. His delusional state of mind that had an image of his life as kind of normal and his mind awakening to the realization of his twisted life as the movie progresses felt like one was experiencing the journey first hand with Phoenix. This one of a kind movie is a must see. It won’t disappoint.
