After watching this movie, I found it kind of boring. I get that there’s an important message behind it but the main character doesn’t have that much personality, she’s just “tall”. I mean “tall” as in she’s not extremely tall, just above average. If you’re looking forward to this movie because you think it’s going to be like a for teens to relate or if it’s going to be comedic, it’s not. There are some funny lines but they were definitely not meant to be laughed at. The character development was definitely not there but I guess it could be relatable to some. If the movie was focused more on the short guy, it would definitely make more sense. SPOILER ALERT: When you’re watching the movie, it may not seem apparent but it’s really weird how the main character, Jodie walked on to the stage just to make a speech about everything although she was not selected for prom queen or anything. It also didn’t make sense how people at her school were saying the same exact line, “hey, how’s the weather up there?”. it’s not funny, like change it up a little at least. Overall, I feel that the movie could have been way better if they had a more in-depth character development of Jodie and just made the storyline more relatable. Personally, I wouldn’t watch it again. But, I would definitely suggest watching it at least once to get the frustration of some.
