If you're an over-educated compassionate nihilist who loves music, this show was written for you. Possibly the finest television ever made. Smart, subtle, dark, all-encompassing. I don't know how to compare it, or to throw out a hook to get people to give it a try, but I will say... I'm pissed we are inundated daily with drivel that people rave over and yet this gem, this rare example of quintessential television perfection, went the way of the dodo. Humankind should be ashamed.
