Overwrought with illogical choices the characters make to move the plot forward, laden with lots of half-baked time travel concepts and scenarios, it tries to be a much better movie than it is. The nonsense McGuffin of a flower sent through a wormhole, a physicist proclaiming an instant diagnosis of a human exposed to time travel/parallel dimensions, "he's got 48 hours" how the F would be possibly know that? This is the first human to travel through time (that we know of) and he gives this nonsensical instant diagnosis. These are just some of the problems with this movie. There's a part near the end where they basically have one of the scientists give a voice-over explaining what the heck is going on, then repeat it with the woman saying the same thing. It's too bad, I wanted to like it, they give Nikola Tesla his due while (accurately) calling Edison a jerk, but the whole thing just doesn't work unfortunately.
