I wasn't born when India lifted its first ever world cup in 1983. But as I grew up my brother who was 10 years older to me a vivid cricket fan and the person who sowed the seed of interest in me for cricket. I started understanding and playing cricket at a very early age and my brother always used to say one thing many times that the most difficult catch is the one while running behind and taking the catch. He used to always mention Kapil Devs catch of Viv Richards that we won the final because of that catch by Kapil Dev. I had also seen Kapil Devs last ODI match Vs West Indies in 1994. At that time I was hardly 8 years old. I grew up in my 90s but always heard some wonderful stories of Cricket and its players from my brother. Remember there was no google at that time but my brother knew which year which day the match was played and what was the record. To such amazing stories I had also heard that the famous 175* by Kapil Dev but there was no recording of it. I think Kapil Dev had also appealed to many if any one had recording of that match would be rewarded handsomely but nobody actually in those times in small sleepy county side ever thought or had a camcorder. But the legendary story lives on and how? With a movie made after 38 years and the way that 175* innings is shown is enough for us to cherish the incredible knock which very few lucky ones witnessed there with their own eyes. The star cast were outstanding where each and every one has done justice to their role and the way they have depicted the bowling action of Kapil Dev, Madan Lal, Roger binny is remarkable. Ranveer Singh has done true justice playin Kapil Dev but Jeeva has been amazing playing Cheeka. Even the West Indies team who played the role of Viv richards, Micheal Holding, Roberts, Marshall, Garner were resembled so close to their looks, style of playing and Bowling action. You can feel the hard work in this movie.
