"সাঁতুৰিবলৈ সাহ লাগে ৷ দেউতাৰে সাহ নকৰিলে ৷.....", looking at the river, the protagonist is told by her mother when she asks why couldn't her father survive the flood.
Rima Das has shown the courage and has swam beyond what needs to be successful and delivered a cinematic excellence with the little resources she had. The nuances with which the story is told, the meaty dialogues, the 'cute' colloquial language of South Kamrup, the characters(especially the protagonist's) written with such perfection, the cinematography and the sound which made the surrounding so real that the audience could relive their childhood through the 87 engrossing minutes of this cinematic journey- 'Village Rockstars' is beyond Oscars and is an absolute success as an art.
Congratulations and thank you Rima Das. Way to go.
