Save your money folks. This movie had great potential — the Jackie Robinson moment of the NBA. Sadly it didn’t come across as it should have. I’d give it 2/5 Stars ⭐️. Not sure what parts were manufactured. I certainly doubt the nightclub romance that was injected into this film. And I’d care to know more about the bigotry of owners; players; official; fans; etc… not sure how much racial hatred was there after four seasons of Jackie Robinson playing 1B for the Brooklyn Dodgers, but there couldn’t have been that much adversity in NYC than playing outside of the Big Apple. I liked the ending as they played live clips of Nathaniel Clifton talking about basketball. Damn! Had I known he was driving a cab, I would have taken many a ride in his taxi when in Chicago. A real shame they didn’t do more with this film.
