This book is incredible. I could sense Tessa and Hardin's emotions. More than any other book or movie I've ever read or seen, this one made me smile, laugh, cry, and feel. It had made me adore reading as a high schooler; I'd rather sit by the fire and read this book than go out and party or hang out with my pals. It is my favourite book, and I could read it a million times and still not get tired of it. I like how the book has to stay true to the point where if you say you'll read for half an hour, you'll end up reading for about 2-3 hours.
I love how Tessa is this sweet, intelligent lady with a lovely high school boyfriend and an overprotective, rigid mother, whereas Hardin is the child with daddy issues and trauma. His past is bleak, and his moods shift quickly. He's manipulative and dominating, but he also has a sweet/playful side that no one ever sees besides Tessa, and he's intelligent.
