Demand Justice for Emmett Till, a 14-year-old from Chicago whose body was found in the Tallahatchie River near the Delta community of Money, Miss., on Aug. 31, 1955! He was beautiful and has a bright and joyous demeanor and was full of life! He was slaughtered by white supremacy and a lying white woman named Carolyn Bryant Donham still alive and never brought to justice was witnessed in the car the night of Emmett's abduction! Simeon Wright, Emmett Till's cousin, who witnessed his 1955 abduction, died at the age of 74 in 2017. Wright recounted what happened to his cousin, known as Bobo, in his 2010 memoir, Simeon's Story: An Eyewitness Account of the Kidnapping of Emmett Till. On Aug. 28, 1955, Wright's father, Mose, identified Donham's husband, Roy Bryant, and his half-brother, J.W. Milam, as the killers in their murder trial. But an all-white jury acquitted them. Till was tortured and killed inside a dark barn on a plantation near Drew. Those who lived or worked nearby heard his cries and saw one of the killers, Roy Bryant’s half-brother, J.W. Milam. There are no indications the state of Mississippi will pursue a murder charge in the death of the 14-year-old African-American youth from Chicago. In 2007, a Mississippi grand jury declined to bring charges. RIP Bobo the one soul who died crushed by the weight and hate of white supremacy and a complicit USA justice system! His mother, Mamie Till, forging through her grief and honoring her love of a beautiful son refused to cover up the horror inflicted on her son, insisting on an open-casket funeral to show us the horrors and evil of white supremacy!
