I really enjoyed this program, with the slightly dark and mysterious side of DS Mathias. Seeing the series play out, provides some very satisfying conclusions to questions left open, in earlier episodes. The program is very well done, with the exception being the audio. Having not miked many of the characters, as instead, relying on with either, the cameraman’s mic or an overhead boom mic, there are times when you are hard pressed to hear the characters easily. That forces you to turn up the volume, until the next scene in which the audio becomes overwhelming. Given the budgetary considerations for the series, it is very well done, and each episode has a story line that draws the viewer into it, only releasing them, at the very end of each episode. This is a must watch series!
