I was expecting more details but this book is just a mixture of high level things from a bunch of subject areas that probably you have already learned from your various undergrad courses. I was expecting to see real world examples, but what I found is a bunch of classroom examples. On the other hand, this book is one that you can read through in one afternoon and forget about. Good introductory text, hence 2 stars. A better and more honest title would be "Software build systems: a primer".
