Disney is pandering with panda.
As Disney attempts to move away from its traditional family values it exposes itself as an increasingly “woke” corporate clown.
“My panda my choice” ? What are we telling our kids?
I could care less about the not-so-subtle references to the female menstrual cycle in every scene.
This movie seems to encourage kids to rebel against their parents who they depict as overbearing and essentially show a mom who is like a dictator and at the end of the film a “raging monster“.
While I typically love a good coming of age story, this seem to encourage young people to trust their friends more than they trust their parents - suggesting that the main characters friends were in the right in determining what is best.
If Disney continues to make movies like this … Say goodbye to the magic.
