This book is a fun, interesting, educational, well-written, and scientific. When I first got it, I was overwhelmed by the number of long footnotes, notes, and sources. I thought that I didn’t need to read this, that there wouldn’t be anything I didn’t know already from my almost 80 years of life as a female and as someone interested in the study of evolution. I thought it was a textbook of sorts and wondered why my friend bought it for me. I was a little offended, thinking that he thought I didn’t known much about the female body. Was I surprised when it interested me immediately! I had to force myself to stop reading to go to bed! The next day I raved to my friends about some of the ideas I’d learned from that first reading and I’m still raving. Now I really am an expert about female evolution!
