Clearly I picked the wrong genre when I decided to watch this film over Christmas break. There were a few times where I thought; what is the point of this movie? It seemed like it could have been filmed about any random reunion aboard a cruise ship of distant, awkward “old” friends. I clearly missed the brilliance that others have noted. I’d pass if I had know what I know now. Ironically I heard replay of an NPR interview with Steven King, the same day. Even though I’m not a Steven King fan the interview was much more interesting than this film.
