I This book was given as a Xmas present and not a book i would have chosen. The father was a rude and arrogant man who had no regard for anyone but himself. His behaviour was very narcissistic. Not sure where the humour was coming from. At times it was quite depressing especially his treatment of his wife and sons. I became fond of his sons and the dedication they showed to their mother and father. I did wonder if perhaps the father had dementia.
