I don't normally read vampire books. It's not my preferred genre. A friend convinced me to try this one. The opening chapters were a bit slow as the scene was set. After chapter 5, it really picks up! Our hero is conflicted and confused as he figures out what being a vampire means for his future. Sorting out his orientation brings on some hair raising adventures. There are colorful characters ranging from a syphallic biker to a knighted peer of the realm. I recommend Blood for the fun, the twisty plot, and characters that grab your heart. The ending leaves you ready for the second book.
