[SPOILERS]
despite what half the reviews are spouting for whatever reason, this movie was absolutely phenomenal. The visuals are rather stunning at times, especially during the end sequence... the story of him and his wife slowly drifting apart, I have to say, did not interest me much, not that it let the movie down at all by any means though, and the main selling point of course being the massive spider, I loved this character, the way they animated (I think it's animated) was surprisingly nice, they way it seemed to yearn to know more and more, feels similar to yourself watching the film, slowly unwrapping the movie as it plays, in this way, or at least I did, somewhat connecting to the creature... even to the point at the end where it died, I admittedly shed a few tears, it was a surprisingly sad moment for a spider dying, but with how connected you get to the spider through the movie, it almost feels human at the end... altogether, this movie one of the best I've seen in a while, sadly it got what seems like review bombed for whatever reason, this movie deserves much more than it got, most of the 1 stars just being people saying how it wasn't their kind of movie or how they just don't like spiders instead of reviewing the actual movie... truly saddening.
