Dialogue was lacking and weak, weakly told story of what is pretty wild history. Nobody would follow the Napoleon portrayed in this film. It switched between Napoleon and Josephine sitting awkwardly together and not saying much and supposedly 'realistic' battle scenes of slaughter that didn't come to grips with tactics and geopolitics.
