I have been fascinated by Jack London's books since I was a kid. Went to see The Call of the Wild yesterday - left half way through the movie as it was unbearable to watch. Creepy computerized dogs pulling human faces and a very doubtful acting from the rest of the crew. Basically they took a brilliant novel and turned it into some unrealistic weird creepy cheesy piece of "sugar". I could hear Jack London turning in his grave. Maybe, some young children could find the "human" doggies entertaining, but then the rest of the story (Yukon gold fever, etc.) would be too complicated for the young watchers. What a waste of time, honestly.
