I’ve been on this journey on watching cult shows on HULU and Netflix. They are very interesting to me. People in power, like Teal Swan, are very dangerous. I can see the allure of someone who is charismatic, like Teal, to someone who is broken and is searching for some sort of “answer.” Teal is a codependent narcissist when it boils down to it. I am a Navajo woman and we have spiritual practices we have used for centuries. I always always seen these non Indigenous, especially white people, pick pocket Indigenous customs. You see her and her group using sage to cleanse, and you see someone using a hand drum, and you see her using the toxins of a frog for a “ceremony.” These are all customs of Indigenous people. These “gurus” are so starved for culture they steal those of other people. It was a good documentary. Well produced and reviewed. You see different view points. It is a cult.
