The definitive Yes album, full of beautiful music, beautifully arranged and exquisitely played. It has the high strangeness which was characteristic of their classic music from 1970 - 1975. Nothing like this is being played today.

Cracking 3rd album from Yes and one of their very best. This is not a concept album, like much their later 1970s music. However the lyrics and songwriting are excellent, and it rocks along quite well.

With this album Yes complete their journey from more conventional rock, begun with the 'Yes Album', into the realms of their unique progressive techno rock. The album is full of lovely songs and the arrangements are excellent.

Yes's reaction to the growing reaction, in the late 1970s, against their style of progressive techno-rock music. Full of good songs but not as unified as their classic music. Yes here begin to blend into the mainstream, but the quality of the music and the traditional Yes 'high strangeness' make this a good album.

After the general obscurity of 'Topographic Oceans' Yes return here to the territory of 'Fragile' and 'Close to the Edge'. The songs are good, but without Wakeman on keyboards some of the classic Yes sound is lost. The album also has a jazzy feel from some of Howe's guitar solos. This is the last album of the classic Yes period of 1970 - 1975, so enjoy it. They were never as good or as interesting again.

One of the precious early Yes albums. Not as accessible as their other music. Overall not as good as the 3 albums which preceded it (Yes Album, Fragile, Close to the Edge) or the one that followed (Relayer) but it still has its moments. It consists of 4 long movements each of which took up a single side of vinyl.The first two and the fourth have some good moments, the third is weaker I would say. However given the uniqueness of Yes, it is still well worth having if you like their early music.
