Supposedly an analysis of southern attitudes which created the Elvis icon...no! It begins as such but then slips almost into a face slapping of Elvis, highlighting his sexual exploits in often graphic detail rather than focusing on his musical growth and change.
There is also too much focus on his apparent pharmacopia ...it's supposed to be a biography
There is also at least one inaccuracy...the book claims Loving You was his 1st movie...no! It was his 2nd... Love Me Tender was his 1st.
