An entertaining concept, razor sharp repartee, and a brilliant ensemble cast, all of whom get a chance to shine throughout the season. Quickfire pacing, tons of sparkling British wit abound, with some truly lovely, moving moments as well. As Rebecca, Lydia Leonard is a multi-dimensional standout. Her Rebecca is super smart, ruthlessly competitive, totally self-absorbed, but at turns can reveal herself to be hilariously clumsy, endlessly frazzled, emotionally messy and finally, heartbreakingly vulnerable. A true tour de force! Am so hoping for a second season to address the many tantalizing cliffhangers!
