3 stars - wish I could give 2.5 (book 1) Super easy read - I'm not actually sure who this is aimed at age wise? maybe 18 year olds? The pace of the book was slow and then really fast, felt rushed. Preferred twilight in the slow burn sense (This is a book I felt it compared to). spoilersss... Tamlin has no character development... He barely has any interactions with feyre. How did the love become so deep? I was unconvinced. I thought the sexual scenes were going to be super saucy as this is how it was described to me. I was sorely disappointed with them.. Like that was it....? Feyre was not at all equipped for the end.. hence why I felt it was rushed. Essentially she did nothing and was helped the entire time. sure she captivated the human experience but to rely on her for the tasks? seemed so odd. Felt the best character description was Rhys. A few more layers with a sinister undertone to him. Overall if you're looking for an easy book with a bit of romance, it'll tick most of your boxes.
