Christina and Mick Semerad

I’m a Ruby Rose fan, but this movie was garbage. The kids were annoying, the bad guys weren’t really that bad, and the whole thing was a watered down version of Die Hard. I kept hoping it would get better, so I managed to watch the whole thing, but it didn’t, and I regret paying actual money to see it. One of those life choices I already regret.

I couldn’t figure out the relationship between these characters. They are celebrating a birthday for one of them, yet they are so incredibly dysfunctional with each other, it seems like a love hate between all of them. I was confused for most of it, and really didn’t think it was that good. Other people do, so there’s that.

Boring is an understatement. Sometimes hard to follow the action, unlikable characters, never had a decent look at the creatures, plot points summed up with snippets of news articles. Don’t waste the money renting it.

I was so blown away by the effects that I forgot about the story. This was very unexpected for a Netflix film. Loved it!

The movie would have been far better if literally anyone but Anna Kendrick had played the part of Stephanie. That is all.
