I loved reading Nancy Drew growing up and this show is a bit different, but not in a good OR bad way. Yes, I would like a show that is more like the books, full of integrity, fun, and a "man behind the curtain" of the mystery. But I also like how different this show is and catching the similarities between show and book. I like how there's not a man behind the curtain. The hauntings are real. I like the twists. The main thing I didn't like was Ned's character. He's good as the friend, but a deeper relationship with Nancy just seems too...puppy love and that just doesn't fit this focused, singleminded, determined, strong female. I rather like Ned and George being together, but since this is Nancy Drew and he is Ned Nickerson, you just know the creators will force them together and I'm not like forward to that drama, not when I feel it doesn't fit. But that's the only thing I don't like. This show is worth trying to see. It's different, but good.
