Wanted so bad to love this because I've been such a huge fan of the games since the second one was released back in 2012.
Announcing that the movie will not follow a storyline from the games, yeah that's great and all...but at least keep the lore intact. There were so many questions about certain things, yeah I compared this to the game...but why wouldn't I?
There was no point in the vault...lemme just say that right now. The whole thing the game is based off of plays zero part in this film, but they make out like it does.
Tina is so funny in BL2, but is one of the most annoying characters in this movie. Also, her whole story changed...like okay throw in THAT curveball.
Krieg was spot on, really funny and glad they kept him to being a Psycho who said the most random stuff.
Lilith, okay Cate Blanchett did an okay job at that.
Tannis, she was totally different personality wise - wasn't the same.
Roland... let's not even waste our breath here.
Claptrap, pretty good - Jack Black was a good casting choice even though you could have just kept it to the original voice actor. I was impressed since it seemed like he actually researched the character.
Marcus, you could have told me that the actual character came to life and acted in that movie, perfect - I had to triple check the voice actor didn't play the part.
Moxxi...oh I could not get over the accent. She looked FANTASTIC don't get me wrong there. But bless her for trying but the accent just seemed a little too forced and she was BARELY in it (I was happy to see that cosplayer Jessica Nigri had a small cameo as one of Moxxi's bar maids though)
Overall, if the game creator is telling you to watch it with an open mind and to forget about what you know from the games...it's a red flag in itself, don't bother.
