I love Karen Kingsbury books and read this entire series of books, which makes it even harder to like the tv series. There were many differences between the book events and the tv series, i.e. circumstances & location of Reagan’s father’s death & location of Tim Jacob’s death in the tv series, among other differences that were just a bit disappointing, like the role casting. While some roles seem to be perfectly cast (John Baxter, Luke Baxter, Ryan, Brooke & Peter) others were a bit disappointing, (Elizabeth, Ashley & Landon). In regards to other ratings that mentioned too much spirituality etc., if you read Karen Kingsbury books you would know that she is a Christian fiction author, so what else would you expect of the tv series, so the focus on spirituality is spot on, and yes people do actually live like that, they are called Christian’s, sadly I must say if it offends you, just don’t watch it.
