Long time dragon age fan. I've played through DA 1, 2 and inquisition countless times for the lore and different character builds. What this game lacks is immersion and difficulty.
None of the characters are really that great or have depth. There's not a ton of gear to use and they make gear character specific. Not much to explore, the puzzles are super easy to solve. And they basically hold your hand the entire time. I don't even think your allies can "die" or "faint" in combat. I'm playing on hard first play through and have yet to feel the difficulty.
I bought the deluxe edition because I was so excited to play the game I wanted all the extras. And I will be selling it back to gamestop when I beat it. It's not worthy for a second playthrough.
If you're a dragon age fan, buy it cheap if you can and beat it but lower your expectations. This game does not feel like dragon age. Bioware really messed this up.
Oh yeah, the combat. The combat is fun. That's it. That's literally it.
