Based on Kalki's timeless drama, Mani rathnam directorial Epic PS1 unravels the undying bawls of guile and gore with Chola and pandya who were vying for the power .The film Deep routed to tamil art and culture ,,PS1 unfolds the folklore with the Massive star cast and powerhouse performance from the terrific trio ofbKarthi,vikram and jayam ravi ,Had suave and swag throughout and gorgeous duo,Aishwarya and trisha,Both being sublime and stamping.Takes much time to settle,The character introduction is nippy in narrative as the events occuring are parellel and uneven with different geographies which may also confuse the non Tamils with classical senthamizh language,Hard to follow at first glance.ARR's score is unmatchable,Ravi varman's camera upholds the The major face offs of pandyas and cholas and Thota's beautiful art could bear out the time span so accurately.PS is a gentle tribute to the greatest epic in tamil,also it's a non fancy,unexotic film from what we saw with former periodic Dramas.Being a longing wish for Tamils ,PS1 is a remarkable film for this year and all sets the ground for an epic conclusion. Kudos to the whole crew. Take a bow manirathnam!

VTK ,The GVM directorial deals with the Gangster gyre of bloodshed and rage revolves around the coming age story of Muthu,An underdog at first and a big fish of mumbai in Later.Gautham unravels the gangster saga with poetic narration with beautifully -ARR composed background scores and melodies.STR is fleshed out into a gangster;Rough and row,Jayamohan sets the ground with Novelty in writing.Some scenes had stiffness where some were deep and radiant.Cinematography makes it more impelling With the deep routed capture of urban sprawls, Desperation and the quench for survival. The film Somewhere loses its momentum in second block with its foretelling nature , exhausted romance which Swoops the course and suddenly rushes into a half baked climax losing the beefy story telling.VTK is A slow burner ,an uneven gangster drama that unfolds the bloodbath in the Outskirts of mumbai. Recommended for STR and GVM fanatics 4/5
