An exhilarating journey into the olden days. Engrossing throughout with shades of sadness, excitement, wit and darkness in equal proportion. Despite the fact that the Heer-Ranjha saga has been told so many times in the past, this work by Manjul Bajaj has uniqueness and freshness about it.
One feature that sets it apart and makes the entire experience all the more enjoyable is the presence of characters of crow, goat and camel, with each of them having to play an important role in the course of journey. They are an integral part of the story, with their emotions and feelings put forth by the author in the most beautiful manner.
All in all a nice and pleasant change, that takes you back in times, where for all the goodness it offers, you want to stay a bit longer.
