Heartfelt,uplifting and honest; this 40 minute documentary will have you forgetting about time. Racine Salon in Islip, NY opens on the 3rd Monday of each month to cancer patients for free. FOR FREE!!!! =) =) =) Rachel and Cynthia (the two sisters who own the salon & lost their mother to cancer), and their staff; work with such compassion to remind women that we are still beautiful. They help shave heads, pick out hats and wigs, provide full manicure and cosmetic services. All while remembering that we are suffering through treatment physically of course, but emotionally and we are still women. No matter what parts we may be missing or losing, they hold hands and offer support and compassion ("Do you want to sit on my lap?"), that I have never seen before. They even bring other patients together for each other. These women and their salon are a force, reminding us that we are too. 5 stars Ladies!! Great Work!
