I'm not sure what the fuss is about. I'm a diehard star wars fan since the originals. The truth is that a real Stars Wars junkie will take whatever they can get and The Rise of Skywalker was more than enough to fulfill my fix. Sure some movies are worst than others, but by far this ranks among the top. It would have been nice to have JJ Abrams for all three movies, he does well on three important fronts: asthetic, story, and action. Values that George pioneered. Character development could have been better, but I will give him a pass since he was tasked to pull 8 movies together in this grand finale, that's a tall order and he lived up to it. Also, the casting was great in the sequel trilogy. The movie did feel like it was written to satisfy the fans, but what do you expect, Star wars fans take their role seriously. I say, thank you Disney, for investing in the franchise and continuing George's legacy. Thank you JJ Abrams for picking up the reins and showing how modern technology can mix well to produce a timeless aesthetic. And thank you Kathlern Kennedy for being the common factor in every movie. Please keep the wookies, jedis, and droids coming cause this junkie needs it...
