Amazing, just straight-up amazing! Got the same feeling from this as I did when I played the game for the first time ages ago. Pedro IS Joel and Bella IS Ellie, super happy with the casting (Marlene is also super spot on too) so this certainly sets it up nicely for the rest of the series. It's interesting having played this game a bunch (both 1 and 2), and now watching it adapted as a show because I know all of the lines from the game and love it when they're repeated again in the show. It's also interesting to see which scenes they kept the same, which ones they altered, and which ones got deleted/replaced with entirely new ones. I also like that it seems they'll show Ellie's background as a part of the show much earlier on since it was originally a DLC that came after you beat the first game; having that insight much earlier on I think is really imperative for an audience. I wonder how scary they'll make it, since sitting alone in a dark room *playing* it is significantly different that *watching* it - that pressure you feel while playing it with the whole "I have to watch my back, check all the corners, listen to all of the sounds in an environment, etc.," is gone, but that allows for other changes to be done with someone watching things unfold instead. Super excited and can't wait for the next ep!
