The first episode I thought was well done. Being only a 6 hour show, I know many details are left out. HOWEVER, this show, as well as others I have seen, incorrectly shows a 1861 map of the US with W. Virginia. There wasn't a W. Virginia until 1863! The Commonwealth of Virginia bordered on Ohio. The "border states" were only Kentucky and Maryland. Otherwise I think the show did justice to the man; many of his character "flaws" either were made up or exaggerated by his political rivals. I look forward to the last episodes.
