Wow. I really wasn't expecting much from yet another Hollywood follow up to an existing franchise but man, am I glad I cast my doubts aside and made the trip to see this film.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife is a magnificent tribute to the late Harold Ramis (Egon Spengler) and manages to capture some of the magic that made the original films classics in their own right.
Mckenna Grace (Phoebe Spengler) steals the show with a powerhouse performance, and will no doubt be in high demand following this release. She is entirely believable as Egon's granddaughter and you find yourself rooting for her early on.
A heartwarming plot, glorious effects and a satisfying ending add up to a rewarding viewing experience that deserves being seen on the big screen.
A must watch for Ghostbusters fans old and new.
P.S. The old Cadillac firing up it's siren for the first time in decades will give you goosebumps. Or was that just me?
