My son received a wish from Make A Wish and he wanted to go to the H5-0 set. In September of 2019 that wish was fulfilled! We got a tour of the studio and then were taken to watch filming. We did not know who would be there and it turned out to be McGarrett and Junior! They were absolutely the best! Each took time to come out and talk to us and treated Dustin like family. Alex pulled up a chair and chatted motorcycles for about 10 minutes since they both rode bikes. They were filming inside their office and Dustin got to go in there and was actually standing under the computer monitors (out of sight) during one scene. We later got to eat dinner with the crew and sat at a table with Beulah (Junior). My son was 19 at the time and a cancer survivor. Junior made an Instagram video with him and posted about what an inspiration he was. Sadly our son died in a motorcycle accident July of 2020. A few weeks later I was looking thru his phone and went to his Instagram. I knew he and Junior were “following” each other so I took a chance and messaged him about Dustin and he responded. Talked about his glad he was to meet him and was sorry to get this news. I just thought that was so thoughtful of him. Dustin’s wish could not have been more perfect!
