I'm honestly surprised at how well the movie was made. The movie HEAVILY relates to my high school freshman life, dealing with the concept of making friends, my emotions, and even my anxiety. There were a lot of heartfelt and funny moments, and sad moments too. I almost cried in theatres seeing Riley have an anxiety attack, it was like watching myself. I struggle with anxiety, and seeing the movie shows how anxiety can ruin lives, and just how difficult it is to be a teenage girl, really helps me feel represented. Yes, Anxiety in the movie wasn't a perfect depiction of the real thing (trust me, I'd know), but the way they acted and controlled Riley does hit close to home. I'm grateful for that anxiety attack scene, and I recommend this movie to teens who are also struggling with anxiety just like me. Shoutout to envy for being the realest, I love her (and Val too because shes older than me, but damn I wish she was real)
