Unrealistic survival of his injury in the very beginning did the movie in for me. Mechanism of injury is a thing and it drives me insane when an injury is totally unsurvivable and they come out with a tiny little scar! Then mom is just softly crying when her only child, her son, is killed before her eyes! Nope! I get that it’s just a movie, but please! Some reality is needed. It is Silent for a reason, and I understand that, but if you need dialogue then this is not your film. I love Mr Woo’s work, but this one was not my favorite.
