Dead Island 2 is a disappointing sequel to its predecessor, with major flaws that make it hard to enjoy.
1) The game seems to be more focused on promoting racial ideology and identity politics rather than gameplay. This is evident in for example the game's unbalanced character classes, with one particular race being rendered almost useless while in comparison another is overpowered to the point of being game-breaking. This focus on promoting specific racial ideologies over gameplay balance ultimately detracts from the overall enjoyment of the game, and makes it difficult to recommend to players seeking a fair, enjoyable, non-political and balanced gaming experience.
2) The main character(s) in the game make nonsensical decisions right from the start and in every cutscene, which can be frustrating to watch. The story lacks coherence, and the player's motivation is often unclear.
3) The game has been poorly optimized for PC, it's buggy and laggy, and is simply put not fit for purpose.
The developers very obviously resorted to using a software to convert the console version into a PC game, resulting in subpar clunky gameplay mechanics on top of all the crashes that come with the game.
In summary, Dead Island 2 is a disappointing game that fails to deliver, and I cannot recommend it to anyone looking for a quality gaming experience.
